Day Camp 2010A fun and educational holiday program for kids in years K-5 at school. Children explore the bush and learn about God's creation from Tuesday to Friday and we invite families to join us for a super Sunday of activities for all the family.
All children in K-5 from school in the Pitt Town and surrounding areas are welcome to attend.
DAY CAMP IS a Christian Camp for boys and girls in school years K to 5. It is an exciting time of discovery and adventure in the wonderland of God’s Creation. Experience the fun of hikes, games, singing, campfires, cooking food on an open fire, things to paint or make just by using what God has provided in the natural bush setting.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Day Camp is for five days from Tuesday to Sunday with a break on Saturday. Day Camp commences at 9.00am and finishes at 3.30pm each day from Tuesday to Friday at the Day Camp site. On these days we need parents to deliver and pick up the children promptly at these scheduled times but parents will be welcome to stay and have a cup of coffee or tea by the camp fire on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Day Camp Sunday will commence at 10:15am and finish by 1pm (see below for details).
Day Camp lets campers have all the fun and experiences of a residential camp, but the security of sleeping at home each night. Further details will be posted upon registration as to what to bring to Day Camp.
PARENTS INVITED. As mentioned above there will be a day off on Saturday 17th July. Day Camp will recommence for its final day with a Camp Concert, Free BBQ breakfast and a Fun Activities on Sunday 18th July. The day will commence at 9:30am with a free BBQ breakfast and will be held at Arndell Anglican College in the Performing Arts Building. The good news is that all the families and friends of the children are invited to attend. The Concert will be part of the Pitt Town Anglican Community Church meeting and the festivities will continue outside with a morning tea, various children’s activities and more!!
WHAT ABOUT THE LEADERS? Campers will all be in groups of about 6/7 children. Each group has its own leader and assistant leader who stay together for the whole camp. The Day Camp leadership team work together to ensure the maximum safety and enjoyment of all the campers. All of our leaders have completed the required ‘working with children’ declarations and at least one leader on each group is over 18 years old. All leaders are regular members of Pitt Town Anglican Community Church.
WHERE WILL IT BE HELD? Pitt Town Day Camp will be held on a private property in Glenorie. It is ideal for Day Camping as it combines natural bush land with open space for group activities. Details of the location of the property will be provided upon successful registration.
WHAT HAPPENS AT DAY CAMP. Children spend time exploring the bush, doing crafts, playing games, singing songs and learning about Jesus from the Bible. We also have a range of adventure equipment that includes a flying fox, ropes course and tyre swing. Most camper needs are provided for and any items that are required to be brought will be outlined during registration.

Full fees are to b paid within 7 days of registering as per instructions provided during registration. Registrations fill up very quickly each year so dont delay. Registrations can only be accepted online. There is initially a limit of only 50 registrations this year with a waiting list for registrations above this number.
